Taste of Chicago Ride

 

Ride Summary

We will be riding through the Northwestern University and the old Mansions of Evanston that surround the campus. Then we will head down the famous Lake Shore Drive along beautiful Lake Michigan stopping at Wrigley Field. You will have about an hour and a half to sightsee and eat. Then we will get back on LSD and head to Millennium Park  to see the Buckingham Fountain where will have a short break. Next we will head north on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave) to the world famous Gino’s East. We will park our bikes in a secure public parking lot. After that we will have a couple hours to sightsee downtown.

10:00 - 10:30 Drive through Northwestern Campus
10:30 Drive South to Wrigley Field*
11:15 Arrive at Byron’s (or Murphy’s if afternoon game)
11:30 Eat and sightseeing at Wrigley
12:45 Depart
1:00 – 1:30 Buckingham Fountain at Millennium Park
1:30 Depart
2:00 Arrive at Gino’s East
3:00 to 5:00 Sightsee Downtown Chicago
5:30 Arrive Back at Hotel

Mid Afternoon Snack

HOT DOG
With everything includes: mustard, relish, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle and sport peppers piled onto a perfectly steamed poppy seed bun.
Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Style Polish
Grilled in the traditional way it was done on historic Maxwell Street and prepared with mustard and grilled onions.

ITALIAN BEEF Our own famous recipe
Chicago’s #1 Italian Beef served on perfectly baked French bread.We recommend adding hot or sweet peppers to your sandwich

Late Lunch

Gino’s famous deep-dish pizza tastes the same as it did back in 1956. Each pizza is made by hand and features its own unique look. Each legendary pizza is created with a secret, golden crust, fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, and loaded with your choice of fresh ingredients. Once baked to perfection these enormous pies are brought to your table in our well-seasoned pans.
