2010 Ride to Remember, a grand success!

The JMA and its member clubs welcomed you to the beautiful cities of Skokie & Chicago on Thursday June 10th through Sunday June 13th for the 6th annual Ride 2 Remember.  We had a weekend that was meaningful, educational, and fun.  This event featured great food, incredible rides, and a visit to the magnificent new Holocaust Museum located in Skokie, IL.

Festivities began Thursday afternoon at the Doubletree Hotel in Skokie where wel checked in and received our information for the weekend, followed by an Old fashioned Kosher Chicago Hot Dog Cook Out and time to mingle with old friends and make new ones!

Friday was the official Ride to Remember.  We traversed over 63 miles of scenic roads, historic landmarks and simply breathtaking city views.  Our police escorted ride culminated with a short parade honoring Holocaust survivors who will be in attendance at the Illinois Holocaust Museum.  The program at the museum consisted of lunch, tours, and a featured speaker.  Shabbat dinner and services back at the hotel rounded out this memorable day.

Saturday was a day to further experience the city of Chicago and its surrounding areas with a choice of several organized rides.  A great dinner at a local restaurant owned by a Holocaust survivor is planned, along with fabulous music and entertainment.
